  • Mission Statement: The New York School for the Deaf is dedicated to the goals of an effective school program. We acknowledge our responsibility to educate and nurture all students to attain their maximum potential. We believe : 1) That all students can learn 2) That all students can acquire those skills necessary to accomplish their Individual Education Objectives 3) That, in cooperation with parents and community members, the school will assure the rights of every student to participate in all possible activities - Academic and extra-curricular. 4) That all students can become productive and contributing members of society
